THE INTERNATIONAL TRADE SHOW RETURNS TO THE VENETIAN

(Hong Kong, 20 April 2008) – Presented by leading Hong Kong trade fair organizer Kenfair International, the second MEGA MACAO, the trade fair for consumer retail products, will open tomorrow until Wednesday April 23, at the Venetian Convention & Exhibition Center, the spectacular and successful new exhibition and entertainment complex in Macao.

With over 1,230 booths, the fair will feature more than 920 well known manufacturers and companies new to showing from 13 countries including China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, The Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, UK, USA & Vietnam. Over 10,000 international buyers are expected to attend to source, compare and select from the high volume, low cost goods at which Asian companies excel. The fair will present new ranges and products ,covering gifts, premiums, housewares, toys, consumer electronics, apparel, home textiles, fabric and accessories and travel and luggage.

Mr. Herbert Ip, Chairman of Kenfair International, said, “Macao is now demonstrating its unique attraction for business events in Asia. Mr. Duncan Cheung, Managing Director of Kenfair International, added, “MEGA MACAO has received solid support from the international sourcing community, with representation from major buying groups such as Auchan, Disney, K-Mart, Li and Fung, Primark, Tesco and Walmart already on hand. Despite the downturn in consumer confidence from certain markets, the buyer response in advance of the fair indicates demand being maintained for suppliers from Asia and China for low cost consumer goods.
